Mark Cook has invested his entire career in teaching individuals and organizations how to improve their productivity. By using best-practice assessments, experiential learning, group processing, and personal coaching, Mark provides a holistic learning experience to assist organizations in reaching their potential and flourishing in the marketplace.

Mark is an Executive Coach and Professional Trainer with an expertise in curriculum development, strategic planning, and organizational leadership and a passion for seeing others improve.

Using his 25 years of experience in active learning, Mark founded a consulting firm in 1999 that served a variety of firms and organizations in performance management improvement through assessment, training, and execution of projects.

Mark’s biggest contribution to organizations is facilitating the professional development of leaders using proven methods that lead to real growth and change. Organizations need proactive leaders at all levels, and Mark provides professional development to support this need.

R. Kyle Womack, P.E., F.NSPE has worked with the CrossGroup since 2009 to develop and facilitate organizational leadership development programs. Kyle specifically works with architecture and engineering firms. These firms include the Texas Society of Professional Engineers and Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm with 300+ employees.

Because of his professional expertise and extensive leadership experience, Kyle provides key insight into common challenges engineering firms face. He partners with an organization’s leaders to understand these challenges and takes a tailored approach to create strategic solutions.

Kyle’s experience includes 40 years as a consulting engineer with Parkhill, Smith & Cooper. He served on the board of directors for over 25 years and as the Midland Office Manager for 30 years. His focus over the last five years has specifically been on business development, strategic planning, career development, organizational leadership development, and organizational structure.

Amelia Yant, MEd, CPC is a coach and facilitator with a passion for supporting individuals and groups seeking personal and professional growth. She enjoys helping both established and emerging leaders deepen self-awareness, develop a growth mindset, and maximize their positive impact through creative, results-driven leadership. Amelia began her career as an experiential learning facilitator with nonprofit and not-for-profit organizations including Heifer International and Optimum Health Institute. She later worked as a project manager and program director before establishing a private coaching practice in 2021.

Amelia uses assessment tools, coaching questions, and intuitive guidance to help clients identify their unique purpose, strengths, and opportunities for growth, transform their mindsets, and create a bold vision for their lives and work. As a facilitator, Amelia excels at helping groups communicate and collaborate effectively, utilize creative problem-solving skills, and take action as a unified and empowered team.

Jim Cross

Founder
Jim Cross founded the CrossGroup in 1988 with a vision of expanding valuable professional development across all levels in organizations. After graduating from TCU with an MBA, Jim joined the IBM team as a technical consultant.

IBM recognized his natural leadership skills and promoted him to management and later to their Executive Development Program. The CrossGroup became an expansion of Jim’s executive coaching and development practice to leaders outside IBM.

Jim and Mark Cook began working together in professional development with a Fort Worth based engineering firm in 2001. That relationship grew across the years as the CrossGroup’s influence and client base increased. They merged their consulting practices to formalize their working partnership in 2009. Jim remains active since retirement in 2017.
